TERMS & CONDITIONS · Unlike many other Virtual Assistants I make no minimum charge. · New clients to pay a 40% deposit (based on the cost of the initial project) prior to commencement of the project. · Written acceptance of a quote and my Terms & Conditions is required prior to commencement of all projects. · Submission by the client of a project to Virtual Assistant Services is deemed to be an acceptance of these Terms & Conditions whether or not acceptance of the same by the client has been made in writing. · An invoice will be issued to the client within 7 days of completion of the project and payment is due strictly within 14 days of the invoice date. · Payment can be made by bank transfer, paypal or cheque (which, if by way of deposit for new clients, must be cleared funds prior to commencement of the project). · I reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue payment / outstanding balance at a rate of 4% per month commencing 14 days following the date of the invoice until full payment is received (unless otherwise agreed in writing). · Cancellation by the client must be made in writing, preferably prior to commencement of the project. If cancellation is made by the client after work has already commenced, the client will be required to pay for the time already spent on the project. · Any additional expenses incurred as a direct result of work undertaken will be passed on to the client at cost (i.e. postage / courier charges / paper). All expenses will be agreed with the client in writing prior to incurring them. · Transcription times depend entirely on the quality of dictation and the clarity of the speaker(s) as well as the positioning of the microphone. As a general rule, we speak 3 to 4 times faster than we can type so it therefore follows that a 20 minute dictation with 1 speaker should take approximately 60 to 80 minutes to transcribe if the clarity is good. However, if the clarity is poor or there is more than 1 speaker, transcription is likely to take longer. A consultation is therefore recommended before any multi-speaker transcription work is undertaken as there will be an additional charge. · Should the client’s original requirements change, I reserve the right to amend my quotation accordingly, following consultation. · Final responsibility for any work undertaken must rest with the client. I will be happy to correct any errors or omissions made by me free of charge, provided they are notified to me within 72 hours of receipt by the client. Whilst my work is of the highest standard, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all work is thoroughly checked. Accordingly, I cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions in work that has not been so checked. · I am unable to accept any responsibility or liability for the content of any material supplied to me by the client and transcribed, copied or edited by me on the client’s behalf including, but not limited to, Copyright Laws. |
